Reviews

“By committing herself to 100 ‘lifesavers,’ Bacon unfortunately strays from the essentials and includes less valuable ‘fillers’ in this collection of practical suggestions. Many of the ideas are just common sense, and the material is presented in no apparent order. The random ‘plugs’ for commercial ventures, including a specific photo-processing company and an independent-study course, are out of place. Reproducible charts, letters, and forms for every occasion from inventory to press releases are included along with student activity sheets and letters to parents. While there are some useful tips in this book, poor organization and unnecessary clutter make them hard to find.”—School Library Journal, Edith Ching, St. Albans School, Mt. St. Alban, Washington, DC
