The Jump-Start series offers quality hands-on activities to teach the layout and organization of the libraryk, giving librarians more tieme to plan comprehensive collaborative units that integrate with existing curricula. Jump-Start Your Library: Beginning offers a starting point for library instruction. Activities provide primary students with quality, hands-on tasks that develop student knowledge of both fiction and nonfiction book arrangement. Lessons offer access to nonfiction books systematically, using repetition and guided practice. Each of the five activities include suggestions for read-aloud books to use in demonstrating the strategies being taught.
