Renaissance man Ethan Hawke has worn many hats throughout his career as an actor, screenwriter, novelist, and director. Ethan, who made his screen debut at age 15, has starred in several popular films including Dead Poets’ Society, Gattaca, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset which he also co-wrote and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, and Training Day, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He has authored two books, The Hottest State and Ash Wednesday, and founded a nonprofit theatre company in New York called Malaparte. He recently adapted and directed The Hottest State for the screen, and has been touring the film festivals.
