| The OLAStore is
the Canadian distributor for over ten publishers offering quality
professional library literature and promotional materials. This
one-stop source of professional inspiration is offered to all members
of The Partnership through their individual associations and is administered on behalf of The Partnership by the Ontario Library Association.
The concept of The OLAStore arose out of the challenge that the best
and most current professional literature was largely being published in
the United States. The cost of the books, plus the shipping and duty to
bring them into Canada, made it available to only the most trusting.
The
Ontario Library Association saw an opportunity to bring the materials
to Canada to show the high quality of this material to Ontario
librarians through the development of The OLAStore at its Super
Conference in 1992.
For those in the Toronto area, there is a 400 title in-stock showroom
which is open for people to browse through. However, more than 2,500
titles are available with quick turnaround to most locations in Canada
thanks to co-operative arrangements with the companies for whom The
OLAStore is an agency.

is to make this your Canadian Source for Professional Literature. You
can help expand this service by recommending other professional
publishers you would like to see available in Canada.
By ordering from your provincial library association's store, you contribute to the financial stability of your association.
PRICING POLICY:
The OLAStore represents largely US based publishers and must respond to
the fluctuations of currencies. Prices from The OLAStore will be based
on an exchange rate of $1.20 CAN = $1.00 US. This rate is subject to
change and the prices are subject to change.
