Our Divisions
The OLA is comprised of seven divisions; five represent library sectors, one represents French language library interests, and one represents library technology interests. Each OLA division has an elected council. All members are members of the OLA who select at least one division to have membership with.
ABO-Franco
L’Association des bibliothèques de l’Ontario-Franco travaille activement au développement des services en français dans la province, voit à ce que les bibliothèques reçoivent toute information pertinente en français et voit au marketing des services français.
OCULA
The Ontario College and University Library Association (OCULA) represents college and university library faculty and staff on issues of common concern.
OHLIA
The Ontario Health Library and Information Association (OHLIA) represents library staff involved with the provision of health information in a diverse range of information settings.
OLBA
The Ontario Library Boards’ Association (OLBA) represents public library board members (trustees) on issues relating to their areas of responsibility.
OLITA
The Ontario Library and Information Technology Association (OLITA) represents a community passionate about exploring the use of technology in information management organizations.
OPLA
The Ontario Public Library Association (OPLA) represents librarians and library staff who work in public libraries in Ontario on issues of common concern.
OSLA
The Ontario School Library Association (OSLA) represents school library professionals and provides a common voice for their needs and interests through advocacy, leadership and continuing education.
