Description:
Final webinar in the series on “advocacy in special libraries”, this webinar is intended to help library managers become comfortable with finding and using convincing data about their operations and customers. Fluency with numbers is important for communicating to management the value of yourself, and of your library’s services. “Owning” your numbers – where they come from, what they mean – will give you the confidence to speak up when it really matters.
What you will learn:
- Ideas for unearthing supportive numbers;
- Identifying valuable allies to help understand the meaning in the data;
- Tips on “speaking” those numbers.
About the presenter:
Maggie Weaver has job-hopped for 45 years, providing information services to industry, government, and consulting firms; she uses her professional portfolio to create winning proposals for work for non-library customers, in areas of information research and entrepreneurship.
