Description:
This online workshop will provide an overview of the design thinking process, including methods, tools and relevant examples. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate:
- in a co-creation session about ways to use design thinking in virtual community engagement.
- practice a user centred approach to engage with your community post-COVID;
- consider how to apply these concepts to collections, programming and spaces.
This session will be led by Carrie Benbow and Brendon Foster-Algoo, Senior Services Specialists as part of the TPL Incubator. In their current role, they facilitate and support innovation at Toronto Public Library and act as champions, internal resources for projects and inquiries, and connect with external organizations to further innovation through partnerships. They also run Design Thinking 101 training for staff and lead ideation sessions.
