Virtual
Organized by OSLA Council

About This Session
This session is designed specifically for teacher-librarians seeking to deepen their understanding of the privacy, security, and broader implications of AI tools in school environments. Participants will explore how to integrate AI safely and ethically into library programming, support students in developing critical AI literacy skills, and model responsible AI use in their own practice. The session will highlight practical examples of how teacher-librarians can use AI for efficiency and creativity while safeguarding student data and aligning with school and district policies. From evaluating AI platforms to establishing use guidelines, this workshop equips library leaders to become trusted guides in the evolving digital landscape.

About School Libraries Connect

The Ontario School Library Association (OSLA) is excited to announce a new initiative designed to inspire, motivate and engage its members — School Libraries Connect sessions. School Libraries Connect sessions are virtual events for school library professionals to network, share, ask questions, and celebrate the incredible impact school libraries have on our communities. To view all topics taking place throughout the year, view the School Libraries Connect website.

Sessions take place monthly between September - June, will be available live and on-demand, and are included in the cost of your OSLA membership. Not an OSLA member? Join today!
