OLA/OSLA Ken Haycock Super Conference Grants

Description

Dr. Ken Haycock granted the Chancellor Group Conference Grant to the Association for Teacher-Librarianship in Canada to honour its founding members. This fund was subsequently assumed by the Canadian Association of School Librarians and the Canadian Library Association (CLA). A travel grant of $500 was to provide support to newly qualified teacher-librarians (the “TL”) to attend the annual conference of the CLA.
In 2016, CLA dissolved and transferred the Grant to OLA to continue supporting new teacher-librarians and their professional development. The re-named grant, the OLA/OSLA Ken Haycock Super Conference Grants, now provides the same $500 travel grant to new teacher-librarians to attend the annual OLA Super Conference.
