The latest School Libraries Connect session welcomed two superstar booksellers whose dedication to literacy and the Canadian publishing industry shines bright. Maria Martella from Tinlids and James Saunders from the Saunders Book Company highlighted an exceptional array of books available to educators and families. The breadth and depth of their book knowledge is impressive.
Maria discussed, in detail, a selection of books suitable for specific school divisions, from picture books to middle grade to nonfiction. James jumped into a wide variety of curriculum-enhancing titles perfect for any classroom or school library, including plenty of nonfiction, decodable texts and French resources. This School Libraries Connect session is a must for those seeking to add some fresh reads to their school library shelves and eager to learn about what’s hot in today’s bookselling arena.
