Toronto Cemetery Tours is an historic walking tour series based in Toronto, Ontario. Public and private tours are held in a variety of the city’s most historic cemeteries, hosted by dedicated researcher and storyteller Chantal Morris. This curated tour coordinated by OLA’s Special Libraries Committee offers an inside look at the research process behind uncovering the hidden facts and buried details of cemetery inhabitants.

Tour Notes
Attendees are encouraged to read the below general notes about accessibility, safety protocol, and tour conditions.

• Being an outdoor event with a large space to spread out, attendees are not required to wear masks or show proof of COVID vaccination. That said, attendees are more than welcome to wear a mask if they so choose.

• There is limited parking available, but TTC (bus and subway) routes bring you within a short walking distance to the cemetery entrance.

• Outdoor tours move at a medium pace, sometimes over paved, rough, grassy, or muddy ground (be sure to wear appropriate footwear).

• Tours typically continue in light “atmospheric” / wet weather (dress appropriately).

• The guide wears a small headset and speaker to be more easily heard by those present.

• While some cemeteries do not expressly forbid dogs, please leave your four-legged friends at home. Dogs are required to stay on paved roads only and this tour will bring us through grassy areas.
