TITLE: Membership Dues revision 

MOTION: BE IT RESOLVED that the Ontario Library Association recommends the following revisions to the membership dues:   

WHEREAS the Ontario Library Association membership dues have not increased in more than 10 years.   

WHEREAS the Ontario Library Association proposes an increase to overall membership fees with discounted socioeconomic strata to address livable wage. 

OLA Memberships are $250 annually. Based on our diversity, equity and inclusion strategy focused on access for our members, the following considerations will be in place for the 2024/25 annual membership fee structure:  

• OLA members making an income of $24,999 or less will pay $20  
• OLA members making an income of $25,000 – $34,999 will pay $85 
• OLA members making an income of $35,000 – $49,999 will pay $95 
• OLA members making an income of $50,000 – $64,999 will pay $110  
• OLA members making an income of $65,000 – $79,999 will pay $120 
• OLA members making an income of $80,000 – $124,999 will pay $130 
• OLA members making an income over $125,000 will pay $150  
• OLA members from the exhibitor community “Associate Memberships” will pay $250  
• 1-Person transferable Institutional Memberships from an organization with an annual operating budget of up to $199,999 will pay $160  
• 2-Person transferable Institutional Memberships from an organization with an annual operating budget of over $200,000 will pay $250
