Purpose
The Ontario Library Association Board will provide direction through policy to staff. The Direction and Protocol (Section GO8 of policies) does just that. Areas of need include:
- Finance
- Risk Management
- French Translation
- Premier events such as Super Conference
Responsibility
The Board will develop policy for section GO8: Direction and Protocols that will direct the operational hierarchy of the OLA.
The Executive Director is the primary responsible party for all things operational. These directions are intended to meet the fiduciary responsibilities of the Board without micromanaging any specific operational tasks. The Executive Director will bring issues and matters forward for consideration, which may be developed into future areas of this section.
Staff will be aware of the policies and ensure their individual and collective work meets these directions.
