Reading and Beading with the Ontario Library Association
OLA
A cozy break from the rink at Little Native Hockey League
Take a moment to slow down, create, and connect! Reading & Beading with the Ontario Library Association (OLA) is a welcoming, drop-in space for families and kids who are cheering on siblings, cousins, and teammates at LNHL — or simply looking for a fun, relaxing break from the action of Opening Day.
Join us for story time at the top of each hour (1:00 pm and 2:00 pm), led by Indigenous librarians, followed by hands-on activities including beading and other crafts. This is also a chance to meet Indigenous librarians, learn how First Nation Public Libraries on reserve work, and discover how libraries support community, culture, and lifelong learning. Curious about a future career in libraries? Come chat with us!
We’re here to celebrate the joy of reading, creativity, and lifelong literacy — no pressure, just stories, art, and connection.
Free books and giveaways available while supplies last, courtesy of Penguin Random House and Annick Press.
Drop in anytime and make Reading & Beading part of your LNHL experience!
