Award for Special Achievement
This award honours exceptional achievement(s) in at least one of the following areas: service to OLA and any other library organization, research and publication in areas of academic librarianship, or planning and implementing a library program which serves as a model to others.

Lightning Strikes Student Award
This award promotes College & University libraries to LIS and library technician students and provides an opportunity to participate in the OLA Super Conference.
OCULA Conference
The OCULA Spring Conference is a one-day conference that brings together library staff from academic institutions on a specific topic or theme. The annual event is planned by a sub-committee of OCULA Council and takes place in the spring of each year. This event was historically held in-person but has been virtual since 2021.
