OLA’s Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing all OLA Advocacy activities. The OLA Advocacy Committee advises and responds to the OLA Board.

Certain advocacy issues are also the responsibility of:

• OLA Indigenous Task Group
• OLA Diversity and Inclusion Task Force

Advocacy issues specifically relating to School Libraries, Public Libraries and University/College Libraries are the responsibility of:

• ABO-Franco
• OCULA
• OLBA
• OSLA
• OPLA

Canadian Federation of Library Associations/Fédération canadienne des associations de bibliothèques (CFLA-FCAB) For advocacy issues with a national scope, the Canadian Federation of Library Associations/Fédération canadienne des associations de bibliothèques (CFLA-FCAB) is our voice. The Federation was established to facilitate collaboration in library advocacy at the federal level. OLA is a member of CFLA.
