The Partnership

The Partnership is Canada’s national network of provincial and territorial library associations. The Partnership meets twice a year to collaboratively develop services and programs for members of their respective associations. More than 7,000 people who work for or with the library and information management sector belong to the associations of The Partnership.

Ontario Health Libraries Association (OHLA)

OHLA is an association committed to the support of health library specialists who deliver quality information services to the health care communities of Ontario. The Association provides support to its members through excellence in leadership, advocacy, education and communications.

Friends of Canadian Libraries (FOCAL)

FOCAL made the decision to dissolve in 2016. OLA will be forming a Friends of the Library Committee to ensure resources developed by FOCAL continue to be made available and updated. Friends of Libraries are volunteers acting collectively and independently to preserve, promote and strengthen library services in harmony with library management and policies.

Ex Libris Association

The ELA is the Canadian national association interested in historical and current issues about libraries, archives, publishing houses, and related institutions and people. Membership is open to all interested parties, but is primarily drawn from the ranks of retired persons.

The Canadian Federation of Library Associations / Federation canadienne des associations bibliotheques (CFLA/FCAB)

The Canadian Federation of Library Associations / Federation canadienne des associations bibliotheques (CFLA/FCAB) is a federation of Canadian library associations. The Federation was establishedin 2016 to facilitate collaboration in library advocacy at the federal level. OLA is a member of CFLA-FCAB.

OLA is a member of the Library and Archives Canada Stakeholder Group.
