OLITA Library Technology Micro-grant
OLITA offers a Library Technology Micro-grant, which provides $500 in funding to support Ontario libraries in enhancing their community’s technology resources and services. This grant aims to help libraries adopt or improve technological tools that enhance accessibility, improve digital literacy, or provide innovative services to their communities.
Eligible Applicants:
This grant is open to all libraries located within Ontario.
Grant Applicability:
The $500 grant can be used to support:
- Purchasing trial computers, tablets, or other devices for the community
- Upgrading existing technology (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, software licenses)
- Implementing or enhancing digital learning programs (e.g., STEAM workshops, digital literacy classes)
- Acquiring assistive technologies for patrons with disabilities
- Expanding online access to library resources and services
Application Criteria:
To be eligible for the grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The library must be located in Ontario. The submitter must be an OLA member.
- The application must provide a proposed budget and demonstrate need.
- The proposed project must focus on improving library technology and digital services.
- The grant funding must be used for the purchase of technology-related items or services.
Timeline
Deadline to apply is March 7th. Applicants will be notified by end of March.
