Description:
Learn how to map family history data using GIS tools. Undertake a research data management plan to use best practices for managing that data. Taking an example from research, we will find data in land records and historical maps, and then import that data into GIS mapping tools and create visualizations.
 
About the Presenter:

Joanne Paterson is currently the Head, Research and Scholarly Communication at Western University and leads a team of library specialists who assist researchers with copyright, open access, author rights, data management, GIS projects, and bibliometrics.
